Does COVID-19 have you looking for “Silver Bullet Solutions” for your business? Jon Schallert, President of The Schallert Group, has what he feels could be the answer!

Jon proposes his Destination Creation Course to help business owners navigate through these historic days. This course offers single tactics, strategies, and actions that anyone can put into practice to generate positive action and incremental sales with the proactive steps that are highlighted.

Sound too good to be true? Then you haven’t seen the results of his Destination Business Boot Camp! Denison, Texas, a Great American Main Street Award 2020 Semifinalist, recently sent eighteen people through the Boot Camp. In January 2020, two City staff members were trained as Destination Creation course Facilitators. Since January, Denison has had five people go through this Destination Creation course. Although the businesses are not happy about the current economic situation, they are much better positioned to make it through the crisis. All businesses immediately began implementing ideas obtained during their class.

Jon Schallert is the only professional speaker teaching businesses and communities how to turn themselves into Consumer Destinations. Jon developed his proprietary 14-step “Destination Business” process after interviewing over 10,000 independent business owners in nearly 600 cities, towns, and downtowns.

Jon’s Destination strategy is designed to help independent businesses and communities stand out and draw customers to them, increasing customer traffic from both local consumers and consumers from miles away. Economic development professionals have verified that when local businesses use Jon’s Destination process, a community’s tax base grows.

The “Destination Creation Course”, a condensed version of his Destination Business Boot Camp, was finalized last year and teaches the foundations of a Destination Business. Jon has trained two classes of certified Facilitators, and ten of these Facilitators have formed a partnership and mobilized in a short amount of time to make a positive difference for entrepreneurs who right now are under an enormous amount of pain and stress. The classes currently offered have been priced favorably to allow for more businesses to take advantage of this time and become stronger.

This 8-chapter course (now with a new section on “Business Strategies During the Covid-19 Crisis”), is currently taught online

The chapter titles for the Destination Creation course are:

New Chapter: Covid-19 Business Survival Tips
Chapter 1: Becoming a Destination Business
Chapter 2: Your Unique Positioning
Chapter 3: Your Leadership Responsibility
Chapter 4: Targeting Your Most Profitable Customers
Chapter 5: Capturing Consumer and Media Attention
Chapter 6: Creating a Customer-Focused Company
Chapter 7: Marketing Your Destination Business
Chapter 8: Collective Marketing

The entrepreneurs and owners who are experiencing the chaos of the Covid-19 virus will find that the Destination Creation Course can help them right now: If a business is open and operating, the principles can be put right into practice. If the business is closed right now, this course will help them better prepare for consumers returning to their businesses.

If you’re a business owner or a community leader who would like to take the Destination Creation Course, you can pick the most convenient time and learn about the Facilitator who’ll be leading the class.

The first class starts Monday, April 13 led by Denison’s Main Sreet Director Donna Dow. Main Street Coordinator Melanie Truxal will lead a class that starts in 2 weeks. Another class will be scheduled based on when our local participants can attend.

WWW.successfulindependentbusiness.com has registration information as well as class details. A total of 10 Facilitators are offering classes for $399. Scholarships and discounts are available to Denison businesses for Donna and Melanie’s classess. Please contact the Main Street staff if you are a Denison business interested in the discount, scholarship, or schedule a time that fits you better.
