Culver's ButterBurgers and Fresh Frozen Custard are coming to Denison

Culvers breaks ground

Denison, TX  – August 23, 2019 – Let the countdown begin! Culver’s of Denison held a  groundbreaking today at 5131 Gateway Blvd with an anticipated opening in late 2019. The community is preparing to welcome the restaurant’s famous ButterBurgers and creamy Fresh Frozen Custard.

“We’re excited to bring Culver’s warm hospitality and high-quality meals and treats to Denison,” said owner and operator, Brad Bishop. “This is an outstanding community, and we’re excited to become an active part of it.” “Culver’s is one of America’s premier restaurant chains and it’s truly a blessing that they have chosen Denison as one of their newest locations.  I want to welcome Brad Bishop and all other members of the Culver’s family and thank you for choosing Denison,” said Mayor Janet Gott.

When completed, the restaurant will have dine-in seating, a drive-thru and takeout service. After ordering at the front counter, guests will seat themselves and relax while  their food is cooked to order and delivered to their tables. “We invite everyone in Denison to experience Culver’s hospitality and delicious, handcrafted food when we open in late 2019,” added Bishop. “Our promise is that every guest who chooses Culver’s leaves happy.”

Brad is originally from Wisconsin, where in 1984 the first Culver’s restaurant was opened in Sauk City, by George, Ruth, Craig, and Lea Culver, Brad’s grandparents, uncle and aunt.  Brad grew up in Graham, Texas and moved to back to Wisconsin to pursue an engineering career.  Always wanting to get back to Texas and get more involved in his family’s business, Brad decided to look for a great community in Texas to live and open a Culver’s restaurant.  Brad’s parents, James and Georgia Littlepage, have opened Culver’s restaurants in McKinney and Rockwall, Texas.

Culver’s signature sandwich, the ButterBurger, is made with 100 percent fresh, never frozen beef. It gets its name from its lightly buttered and toasted bun. Culver’s Fresh Frozen Custard gets its legendary creamy decadence from high-quality, fresh Wisconsin dairy. Each batch is handcrafted throughout the day. Guests can customize their frozen treats with more than 30 mix-ins and toppings. Culver’s offers three flavors of Fresh Frozen Custard every day: vanilla, chocolate and a Flavor of the Day.

Other guest favorites include chicken sandwiches and fresh garden salads. Side options include Crinkle-Cut Fries and Wisconsin Cheese Curds, a Dairyland delicacy. Kids’ Meals are also available.
